Denise Soper
Denise Soper is a native of Newfoundland who moved to Hallifax in the 1970's to attend art school. She graduated from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in 1978. While busy with a family and working, she continued studies with workshops and classes, and has been painting full time for the past ten years.
Primarily a landscape painter, she is interested in the challenge to translate the character and light of a place into paint. A sense of place is important to her and the landscapes of Newfoundand and the Maritimes hold special meaning.
