Dennis Teakle

Dennis Teakle is an artist and antique dealer who grew up in Muskoka, Ontario and studied at the Ontario College of Art and Design. He began a career that saw him put his love of painting to work in teaching and book illustrating.

He settled in Nova Scotia in 1989 after many visits, feeling this was a place to continue his creativity.

Prior to 1989 his medium was watercolour, he now works primarily in oils. His works are in the permanent collection of MacMaster University, and have been celebrated in one man shows at the Toronto Public Library, The Huntsville Art Gallery & Kings Theatre, Annapolis Royal, N.S.

Dennis hopes that his art will promote others to share nature as he sees it as a continuing dialogue of life.
